Justin Bieber Allegedly Turned Down Super Bowl Performance Invite
Despite a star-studded halftime show at Super Bowl LVIII featuring Usher with Alicia Keys, H.E.R., will.i.am., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, and Ludacris, fans missed out on a potential appearance by Justin Bieber. Reports suggest Usher extended an invitation to Bieber, but the pop sensation wasn’t feeling it at the time.
According to a source, there’s no animosity between Usher and Bieber. It seems Justin just wasn’t up for taking the stage during the Super Bowl extravaganza. While Usher’s performance was packed with surprise guests, including big names from the music industry, Bieber remained absent.
Usher’s team reportedly contacted Bieber’s team about the halftime performance, but the “Justice” singer opted to sit this one out. Despite Bieber’s absence from the show, Usher managed to deliver an electrifying performance with a lineup of talented artists.
Justin Bieber’s live appearances have been scarce since he canceled his 2023 tour due to health issues, including a diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. This rare condition can result in a painful shingles rash affecting the ear or mouth, along with hearing loss and facial paralysis.
Although Bieber wasn’t on the Super Bowl stage, he did make an appearance in Las Vegas during the festivities, attending a Fanatics pre-game party with Travis Scott. Alongside his wife, Hailey Bieber, Justin enjoyed the game, even though he chose not to join Usher for the halftime spectacle.
